Kale Crisps

Kale is a dark leafy green with countless nutritional benefits including the following:

1) Contains 45 different flavonoids, with anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties

2) Lowers Cholesterol through bile acid interactions in the small intestine

3) Contains more vitamin C (gram for gram) than an orange

4) Contains more calcium than milk (gram for gram)

Kale Crisps are a novel way of preparing kale, and are a great snack.


  • Kale
  • Seasoning of choice (I use chilli flakes, salt, nutritional yeast flakes, garlic granules etc)
  • Spray olive oil


  • Wash and drain Kale
  • Remove any thick stalks as these can taste bitter
  • Spray lightly with olive oil and evenly coat in your chosen seasoning.
  • Bake in the oven at 180°C for around 15 minutes or until the desired texture has developed
